Who We Are

Michael Chao is a seasoned marketing executive with international experience. Michael most recently served as the Director of Brand and Omnichannel Marketing at Walmart as well as the
VP of Marketing and Business Development for Joann Stores.

As co-founder of Innovation Educators, Michael is passionate about mentoring and developing
the leaders of tomorrow. His vision is to provide the access, tools, and skills to set people up for success in pursing their passions.

Michael is a proud Texan and graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He also received his
MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. In his spare time
Michael enjoys eating, running, and spending time with his wife and two kids.
